My story of anxiety began outside of Christ and on the cusp of reaching breaking point.

 

The day which tipped me over remains with me till today.

 

 Witnessing a relative's close encounter with death and then losing a very valuble item belonging to my mother later on that day was the straw that broke the camels back.

 

These two events on the same day triggered the frequent physical symptoms of anxiety for me. And so on that day as I was going to bed, I felt a sharp pain in my back in the location of my heart...

 

I thought I was going to have a heart attack.

It subsided by itself but I was petrifide at the potential health issue that was looming. I had become what they call sensitized in my nervous system causing anxiety affect me not only emotionally but physically.

 

The symptoms that would gradually occur; tightness of chest, insomnia, cold sweaty hands and feet, tremors, panic attacks and intrusive thoughts.

 

This was my life for nearly 2 years.

 

I spoke to doctors, family and even tried meditation, but I had no answer.

It wasn't until my salvation and  my decision to surrender to God that He could unravel every deception, deliver me and grant me revelation in order that anxiety would lose it's grip over my life.

Here I am today wanting to share my light of freedom to people who would otherwise say there is no hope. I want to tell you that when life says there's no hope Jesus comes in and defies the odds, as He is hope Himself and in Him all things are possible.
